Product Overview
When the fire is doing its job but the dark is doing its own, the smallest sounds become the loudest decisions. PerimPup™ Sentinel Plaything (Gen 6) was built for that specific kind of evening: someone is hurt, the group is tense, and a scraping at the edge of sight keeps stealing attention from the work that matters. PerimPup keeps things simple for kids—“stay close,” “hold hands,” “quiet feet”—and decisive for adults—“two-person perimeter,” “focus west,” “report back.”
Gen 6 is our premium successor: longer-range presence without louder noise, clearer authority without harsher tone. In Family Camp, it plays perimeter games that gently recruit Miller-and-Davies-style buddy pairs (two people, one boundary) while labeling attention like a responsible adult: “Sound priority: West. Medical priority: Davies.” The voice has personality—patient, slightly insistent, and unembarrassed about repeating itself—while parental controls keep the personality on a leash.
Design-wise, PerimPup looks like a soft-edged field toy with a serious center: a warm matte ceramic-poly shell, stitched grip ribs for small hands, and a low-glare “campfire-safe” face that can be read without wrecking night vision. The self-repairing finish is an engineered resealing topcoat that closes scuffs, bite marks, and strap abrasions over time, so it stays smooth and easy to sanitize even after it’s been dragged, hugged, dropped, and emotionally depended on.
Safety posture is explicit and visible. The top ring is a single, physical Mode Collar (PLAY / PERIMETER / QUIET / HOME) that clicks loudly enough for adults to hear and is lockable with the included Guardian Key. PerimPup will not instruct children to approach unknown people, animals, or noises; it instead defaults to “hold position,” “find an adult,” and “call names you choose” (pre-approved contacts only). Privacy is equally plain: all voice and sound classification can run locally, with an indicator light that cannot be disabled when listening is active.
Use-cases are straightforward: bedtime cabins, tense tailgates, large-family cookouts, beach dusk, trailhead first aid, and any moment where you need the group to stop negotiating with shadows. It’s a plaything with an unnerving level of follow-through—calmly, politely, and, if you enable Authority Mode, with the kind of certainty that makes everyone finally do the obvious thing.
